Cash is king down under

A documentary featuring rare footage of Johnny Cash's gospel music performances is heading to Australia and New Zealand, thanks to a deal struck by US distributor Janson Media.

The Gospel Music of Johnny Cash: A Story of Faith & Redemption (1x48') has been licensed to Queensland-based distributor Heritage HM for pay-TV broadcast in Australia and New Zealand.

The documentary, produced by Gaither Television Productions and directed by Michael Merriman, features footage of vintage Cash performances from numerous Billy Graham Crusades as well as from the singer's popular ABC television show.

Janson Media has also sold three series and a 90-minute one-off educational programme about photography to the Living Channel in New Zealand.

Arts and craft series Scrapbook Memories (208x30'), Quilting Arts (91x30'), Knitting Daily TV (78x30'), all from KS Inc Productions, and one-off Tamara Lackey: Capturing Life Through Better Photography (1x90'), from Lackey/Ballard Productions, will air on Living Channel's Crafting and Leisure Zone Channels in New Zealand.
